LutherCare Communities Talent Acquisition Specialist Jobs – Jobs Description
As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be a key member of the People & Culture division in LutherCare Communities (LCC), partnering with other LCC leaders to achieve the organizational priorities and goals. Reporting to the Manager of People & Culture (the Manager), the Talent Acquisition Specialist supports the corporate strategic plan by contributing to the development of and executing divisional plans including cascading, monitoring, reporting, and course correction. The Talent Acquisition Specialist demonstrates divisional expertise to enable an innovative and positive working climate in a resident-first culture. The Talent Acquisition Specialist works within the division and cross-functionally to support operations in the organization. The Talent Acquisition Specialist works closely with recruitment agencies, community organizations supporting employment and other external partners.
Key Accountabilities:
- Divisional Support – Contribute to developing the strategic direction for the division by influencing and advising on current and emerging issues and trends
- Stakeholder Relationship Management – Building, fostering, and maintaining effective external relationships and partnerships. Foster communication and healthy relationships with residents, visitors, and families
- Position Functions – Champion inclusion and belonging within the talent acquisition process including fair access, bias free and inclusive practices
- Reporting – Prepare and deliver reports to ELT, OLT, and management teams in support of a cross-functional team
What You Will Bring to the Position & Organization
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Professional designation or near completion (CPHR)
- Licensed and in good standing with professional association and/or regulatory body, if applicable
Experience:
- 3+ years in a leadership position
- Experience:
- At an operational level, and is an effective and motivating leader who has developed and led innovative frameworks, services, and programs
- Providing people services to a non-union and union workplace
- Working with Federal and Provincial Governments
- Working with First Nation and Metis communities
- Experience in a:
- Multi-stakeholder environment with multiple locations
- Hybrid organization (for-profit and not-for-profit) would be considered an asset
- Health-care sector would be considered an asset
- Housing sector would be considered an asset
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Advanced knowledge of legislation and applicable laws
- Advanced knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines and labor law
- Thorough understanding of health-related services and housing issues, government, government relations and public affairs
