We are looking for a production operator to join our team in Calgary!
The production operator purpose is to transfer incoming raw product from tanker trucks and operate specialized equipment to further process the raw material into a dried finished product under strict guidelines that is packaged for shipment.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Unloading of raw product with the use of hoses and pumps;
- Test the incoming raw product to ensure that it meets operational guide lines;
- Prepare and clean the tanker using an automated washing system;
- Separation, Concentration and Drying of raw product;
- Operate specialised equipment to further process the raw product for shipment.
- Documentation: maintain all required documentation related to their duties.
- House Keeping: maintain housekeeping levels of the facility while performing their duties.
Qualifications:
- Grade twelve education or equivalent
- Previous experience as an equipment operator
- Knowledge in HACCP
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Work in a multi-cultural team environment
Working Conditions:
- Hourly wage starting at 24.85$. At 25.35$ after 3 months. Scale from 25.34$ up to 32.15$
- Handling animal blood products
- High noise levels
- Above normal ambient temperatures
- Twelve hour shifts on a day and night rotation. Day shift 6h00 – 18h00. Night shift 18h00 – 6h00
Physical requirements:
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 50 Lbs repetitively
- Be in good physical condition
